May 09, 2017 (newstodate): While still modest by world standards, cargo volumes are rising consistently at Lithuania's Vilnius Airport in 2017 as proved also by the figures for April.
The airport thus saw its total volumes in April 2017 up by 11.72 percent, y-o-y, continuing the unbroken growth since the start of the year.
A total of 808 tonnes of cargo was handled at Vilnius Airport in April, including 660 tonnes of cargo and 148 tonnes of mail.
During the first four months of 2017 Vilnius Airport has thus handled 3,161 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 12.78 percent, y-o-y.
By contrast, cargo volumes through Latvia's Riga Airport were down 5.2 percent, y-o-y, to 6,263 tonnes, and by 10 percent to 3,467 tonnes at Estonia's Tallinn Airport.
