May 30, 2017 (newstodate): Today marks the opening flight by Singapore Airlines on the route between Singapore and Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The route comes as an extension of the carrier's route from Singapore to Moscow Domodedovo Airport and will be operated five times weekly with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Singapore Airlines has contracted Menzies to provide ground handling, cargo handling is provided by WFS, while ProActive Airline Services has been named General Operations Agent responsible from May 15, 2017, for the operations and services of SQ Cargo at Stockholm Arlanda comprising flights and the truck services between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and the carrier's freighter hubs at Amsterdam, Brussels and London.
Sales of the cargo capacity on the route remains, however, with Singapore Airlines Cargo's own office at Copenhagen Airport.
