May 16, 2017 (newstodate): Finnair has the ambition to grow its Asian traffic by 100 percent in 2018 as its Airbus A350 fleet builds up - and this calls for a major intake of new cabin crew members as well.
The carrier has thus now embarked on an intense recruitment drive that will bring in some 350 new cabin crew staff over the coming 12 months.
As one significant criteria required for prospective candidates is fluency in English, while fluency in Finnish is considered "highly valued", and other language skills are considered an asset.
The country's national carrier is thus stepping down from its traditional requirement for fluency in Finnish, instead opening up for any applicant carrying a EU Passport or the right to work for a Finnish company.
The first selections have already started, and a second drive will follow this autumn.
