May 29, 2017 (newstodate): Turkish Cargo is indeed keen on Norway's seafood exports, but the company's third weekly call is not exactly another "salmon freighter".
With the tentative start-up date on June 4, 2017, Turkish Cargo will be introducing a Sunday freighter service at Oslo Airport - but driven by Norwegian imports of fruit as a charter operation so far scheduled for "a few months" only, according to industry sources.
Turkish Cargo launched its first weekly freighter operation on Fridays on March 10, 2017, adding a second weekly freighter flight on Tuesdays from March 29, 2017, in both cases using Airbus A330-200F freighters.
The growth in Norway's salmon export volumes is actually temporarily flattening these months as production is marked by a generational change in salmon farming - on the part of the fish, of course....
