Apr 18, 2017 (newstodate): Figures released by Finnair show an over-all decline by 2.9 percent, y-o-y, in cargo volumes carried during January-March 2017.
A total of 31,987 tonnes was carried, including 19,928 tonnes on the Asian lanes which was also down 2.9 percent.
During Q1 2017, all segments were actually down in volumes including the N American traffic that saw volumes down by six percent to 1,906 tonnes, and volumes on the European traffic dropped 0.9 percent to 5,468 tonnes.
March 2017 performed better, though, with a total of 12,515 tonnes, up 7.5 percent, y-o-y, not least due to an increase by 9.1 percent to 7,942 tonnes in the Asian traffic.
