Apr 28, 2017 (newstodate): At airBaltic's shareholders meeting on April 26, 2017, a new supervisory board was elected, reflecting the recent change of ownership.
Lars Thuesen was thus duly elected to the board, replacing the previous airBaltic supervisory board member, Ralf-Dieter Montag-Girmes.
In April 2017, Mr Thuesen bought the company Aircraft Leasing 1 SIA, registered in Latvia on December 8, 2014, though which the investor Ralf Dieter Montag Girmes held 20 percent of the stake in airBaltic since February 2016.
The Baltic state thus still holds 80 percent of the stake in the carrier that is expected to announce the final outcome of the year-long search for a strategic partner, investor and co-owner before the end of this year.
