Mar 01, 2017 (newstodate): Wizz Air is strengthening its base at Skopje Alexander the Great Airport, Macedonia, with new aircraft, frequency increases on existing routes and the announcement of new destinations in 2017.
Wizz Air made Skopje Airport its 17th base allocating one Airbus A320 to operate new flights from October 28, 2012.
The carrier is now allocating a fourth Airbus A320 to Skopje, allowing for opening of three new routes including flights to Vaxjo, in Sweden, starting from April 2, 2017.
Along with the newly launched routes, flights from Skopje to four destinations including Copenhagen will have a frequency increase to three rotations weekly, while the connections from Skopje to Gothenburg will have a frequency increase up to four flights weekly.
At the same time, the route from Skopje to Malmo will now be served daily by Wizz Air.
