Mar 15, 2017 (newstodate): Ryanair is looking at launch of new services in Georgia - but is now also opening up services in the Ukrainian market.
The carrier's commercial director is currently in Ukraine and has revealed plans for the start of routes from Kiev and Lviv to a number of destinations in Europe.
So far, the only coming new route between Ukraine and Scandinavia will be flights between Kiev and Stockholm Skavsta Airport, and other destinations to connect with Kiev will be London Stansted, Manchester and Eindhoven.
Similarly, Lviv will see Ryanair flights to and from Eindhoven, Berlin, Wroclaw, Krakow, Budapest and Memmingen.
The new Ukrainian services will commence by October 30, 2017.
Ryanair's plans for Ukraine have indeed been long in the making, first being aired already 10 years ago.
And in 2012, Ukraine's Ministry of Infrastructure was meeting with Ryanair aiming at attracting the carrier to launch flights into the Ukrainian market, specifically singling out flights on routes from Lviv and Donetsk to London, Paris and Barcelona.
