Mar 13, 2017 (newstodate): Qatar Airways is both willing to and fully capable of increasing its provision of freighter services to Norway's seafood exporters - but on some preconditions..
-One thing is to seek a solution to the volume of late deliveries and even no-shows of booked freight, a problem shared with all carriers in the market, said Rob Veltman, Qatar Airways Cargo VP Cargo Europe, one of the speakers at the recent Norwegian seafood air logistics seminar in Oslo.
-Also we would suggest the Norwegian seafood industry to expand its working week from today's five to seven days, allowing for a much more level flow of shipments compared to today's peak at not least Tuesdays which puts a stress on the operations.
-We are fully prepared to expand our services in the Norwegian market, but this would require also firm commitments from the customers and a willingness to share risks with us, said Mr Veltman.
