Mar 30, 2017 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier RAF-AVIA is to change the composition of its aircraft fleet in the coming years.
The carrier currently operates a fleet of four AN-26 freighters that have provided the backbone of operations for years.
The first of these will however be phased out by January 2018, with the rest to be phased out thereafter.
Instead, RAF-AVIA will build its future on ATR freighters and the carrier will also take delivery of two ATR-72 aircraft in passenger configuration.
In the future, plans are even the acquisition of two Boeing 767-300 freighters to be placed on ACMI contracts.
