Mar 28, 2017 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has launched flights on a new route from Vilnius to Munich, in Germany.
Operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, the route will be served with three weekly rotations.
airBaltic is thus now operating a total of 334 weekly rotations on flights from Vilnius, in Lithuania, to six destinations including Riga and Tallinn as well as Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam - and now also Munich.
The carrier has earlier served the route between Vilnius and Munich, twice opening and suspending flights, with the last attempt ending in 2011.
The reopened route to Munich from Vilnius complements airBaltic's route to Munich from Riga, operated since April 27, 2005.
