Mar 09, 2017 (newstodate): Anyone in the market for Fokker 50 aircraft would find a trip to Iceland worthwhile.
In 2015, Air Iceland inked a contract with Bombardier for delivery of three Dash-8 Q400 aircraft to replace its fleet of six Fokker 50 aircraft from the end of the year.
Two of the Fokker 50 aircraft have been sold already two years ago, but the last four aircraft remain in storage on Iceland.
Negotiations are going on with potential buyers, and the aircraft are stored under a program ensuring their air worthiness.
