Mar 24, 2017 (newstodate): Absent since September 6, 2016, the US carrier Delta Airlines is returning once again to Russia from summer.
The carrier has announced the relaunch of services starting from May 217, 2017, on the route between New York and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, offering five weekly rotations with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
Delta Airlines earlier suspended flights on the route from December 2015, citing low demand in the market, returning however from May 16, 2016, with five weekly rotations on the route operated with Boeing 767 aircraft.
Starting from June 2003, Delta Air Lines was the first US carrier to serve Russia nonstop from its John F. Kennedy International Airport hub.
