Mar 03, 2017 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport has now published the long-awaited figures on its cargo performance in 2016.
A total of 423,042 tonnes of cargo was handled by the airport, an increase by 13.5 percent, y-o-y, boosted first of all by a strong growth by 60 percent in export volumes, to 107,983 tonnes.
On the other hand, import volumes were down by 12.4 percent to 41,674 tonnes.
Transit cargo remained an important component of the airport's cargo volumes, but the proportion dipped from 69.2 to 64.4 percent of the total volume that accrued to 273,385 tonnes in 2016.
