Mar 02, 2017 (newstodate): Cargo volumes did increase at Denmark's Billund Airport in February - but only modestly.
A total of 5,023 tonnes of cargo was handled, an increase by 5.1 percent, y-o-y.
The totals included 3,577 tonnes of exports, increasing 18.1 percent, while imports declined by 17.4 tonnes, to 1,446 tonnes.
The over-all decline was thus primarily caused by the drop in imports attributable to the effects from the Chinese New Year.
After this year's first two months, total cargo volumes handled at Billund Airport are up 5.2 percent, y-o-y, to 10,319 tonnes including 6,769 tonnes of exports, up 6.5 percent, and 3,550 tonnes of imports, also up 2.7 percent.
