Mar 13, 2017 (newstodate): Already hardened by a steady flow of newcomers to Oslo Airport, Norwegian seafood exporters will hardly be surprised by news of more freighter traffic at the airport.
Yet to be publicly announced, the latest addition to the capacity offerings at Oslo Airport will most probably soon be a third rotation by the Russian freighter carrier AirBridgeCargo, according to informed sources.
Starting from November 15, 2016, AirBridgeCargo has been offering a twice-weekly freighter service from Oslo to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport for transfer to onward flights on ABC's extensive route network to Asia and USA, using Boeing 747-8F aircraft on Tuesdays and Fridays.
ABC Airlines first entered the Scandinavian market in April 2014 with two weekly calls at Sweden's Malmo Sturup Airport as an en-route stop on the route between Amsterdam and Moscow with Boeing 747-8F freighter before moving these operations to Oslo instead.
