Mar 28, 2017 (newstodate): The 8th Airbus A350 for Finnair is now at the Airbus delivery center in Toulouse, ready for acceptance by its future operator.
The aircraft performed its first test flight on March 11, 2017, and has now completed three flights including the Customer Acceptance Flight prior to be handed over to Finnair.
Airbus thus manages to deliver the aircraft as planned, before the end of this month.
The next delivery is slated for May 2017, No 10 will be delivered in June, followed by the 11th and last delivery in 2017 that is also now on the assembly line.
While this year's last delivery will be production number 134, the first delivery in 2018, the 12th Airbus A350 for Finnair, will be production number 265 and slated for delivery not earlier than December 2018.
As matters stand now, Finnair will thus receive only one Airbus A350 aircraft in 2018.
Finnair has placed orders for a total of 19 new A350-900, and if the current delivery schedule remains unchanged, all aircraft will be in Finnair's fleet by 2023.
