Feb 14, 2017 (newstodate): The Latvian charter and ACMI carrier SmartLynx has landed a new contract with Thomas Cook Airlines.
Under the wet-lease contract, signed on February 9, 2017, SmartLynx will place two Airbus A320 aircraft with its customer for re-delivery on November 1, 2017.
Starting from April 29, 2017, one aircraft will operate out of Birmingham, the other from London Gatwick.
Thomas Cook Airlines has been an ACMI customer with SmartLynx since 2012.
In the fleet of SmartLynx now are 12 Airbus aircraft including 11 A320 and one A321 aircraft, but plans are on the table for adding more aircraft capacity in 2017.
