Feb 28, 2017 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport saw its cargo volumes up in January 2017.
A total of 774 tonnes was handled at the airport which was an increase by 21.5 percent, y-o-y.
The positive growth was driven by an increase by 30 percent in cargo volumes while mail volumes were down 7.4 percent.
The growth in January indicates a sustained positive trend as volumes in January 2016 were also up by 7.7 percent to 634 tonnes, and 2016 ended with an increase in volumes by 10.96 percent to 9,086 tonnes of cargo including 7,489 tonnes of cargo and 1,597 tonnes of mail.
