Feb 28, 2017 (newstodate): To cover up for own capacity shortages, Norwegian will be leasing in external capacity also in the coming summer schedule.
In the planning so far are three external capacity providers - the Italian carrier Blue Panorama and the Danish carrier Jet Time, both providing Boeing 737 aircraft, and Lithuania's SmartLynx providing Airbus A320 capacity.
From the start of April to the end of August 2017, Blue Panorama will operate Norwegian's flights from Rome to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki and Gothenburg,
From March till April 2017, Jet time will be operating Norwegian's flights from Copenhagen and Oslo to Rome.
Finally, from June to August 2017, SmartLynx will operate for Norwegian between Alicante and eight destinations including Helsinki and Billund, one Swedish and four destinations in Norway, as well as Manchester.
