An over-all load factor rising to 88 percent, and 29.3 mio passengers which was up 14 percent on the preceding year generated a turnover at 26 bio Norwegian Kroner.
In 2016, the carrier's fleet took in 21 factory-new aircraft, and in 2017 Norwegian will absorb a further 32 new aircraft including nine Boeing 787-9 aircraft for the growing long-haul traffic - and Norwegian plans to open 50 new routes this year.
