Feb 24, 2017 (newstodate): Ryanair has decided to launch flights from its third destination in Denmark - Aalborg Airport.
The LCC will start out with flights from Aalborg to London Stansted Airport with three weekly rotations from this year's winter schedule by end of October 2017.
Ryanair made its debut in the Danish market at Billund Airport on January 24, 2007, and on March 2012, Ryanair established its 48th base at the airport serving western Denmark.
Copenhagen Airport became Ryanair's second base in Denmark from March 2015, but following a court ruling supporting Danish unions' rights to take labor action against the carrier, Ryanair in early July 2015 closed down both bases in Denmark.
Today, Ryanair is operating both at Copenhagen and Billund, but with aircraft flying in from other bases.
