Feb 20, 2017 (newstodate): According to Finnish sources, the attempt to launch a new carrier in Finland, Go! Aviation based on a "fly-as-you-wish" concept has stalled, and the company is said to have filed for bankruptcy.
newstodate has not been able to get into contact with the carrier for an official confirmation of this alleged news.
Only on January 23, 2017, Go! Aviation's acting CEO Roope Kekalainen, Snr VP Operations confirmed that the project was still delayed as the leasing company still waited for the approval of the necessary financial instruments before orders for the acquisition of the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft could be activated.
-As an administrative issue we also had our AOC obtained in February 2016 revoked, but we will get it back quickly once the deliveries of the three aircraft are again on the agenda, Mr Kekalainen said.
Three earlier attempts to launch services had already ended in failure by then.
