Dec 14, 2017 (newstodate): WFS has further enhanced its ability to handle pharmaceutical cargo shipments with the opening of a new temperature-controlled facility in Copenhagen Airport.
With the capacity to store up to 16 cargo units and offers separate temperature chambers offering both 2-8°C and 15-25°C environments, the new facility will support WFS' IATA CEIV Pharma certification program in Denmark, which it expects to completed in early 2018.
WFS may thus also become the first facility at Copenhagen Airport to achieve CEIV certification as the certification of the Spirit Air Cargo facility at Copenhagen, earlier slated for completion by week 37, is still trailing behind with no new date announced.
Earlier this month, Brussels became the first WFS cargo station in Europe to achieve IATA CEIV Pharma certification.
WFS is also working towards Good Distribution Practice, GDP or IATA CEIV Pharma certifications at other major locations across its network, which also includes building new facilities in Paris and Milan.
