Dec 05, 2017 (newstodate): The carrier Ukraine International Airlines has now fixed the date for launch of flights to Canada.
The first flights by the carrier between Kiev Boryspil International Airport and Toronto, in Canada, will be performed on June 6, 2018, using Boeing 767-300 aircraft and UIA will offer three weekly rotations from the start, hoping to increase to daily flights in 2019.
Direct flights between Kiev and Toronto were operated in the 90'ies by Airlines of Ukraine, and continued by Aerosvit from May 28, 2003, until the carrier folded its wings in January 2013.
UIA flights to Toronto have been on the agenda of UIA since Ukraine regained its Category I status by FAA in 2013, and hopes were to launch the flights already in 2014.
