Dec 15, 2017 (newstodate): Iran Air has put flights to Belgrade, Serbia, on its route planning for 2018.
The carrier expects to start commercial flights between Tehran and Belgrade already later in this winter schedule, initially offering two weekly rotations on the route.
The plans benefit from the landing of a new bilateral Air Service Agreement between Iran and Serbia in July 2018, and Serbia's abolishment of visa requirements for Iranians - as the first European country.
The resumption of direct air services between the two countries will fill a void left after the collapse of Yugoslavia more than 25 years ago.
