Dec 14, 2017 (newstodate): The latest order from the Icelandic-owned Primera Group for additionally two Boeing 737 MAX 9 ER aircraft will eventually bring its fleet to a total of 18, with deliveries starting from 2019.
Primera Air first placed orders for eight aircraft directly from Boeing as well as eight from Air Lease Corporation and firmed up orders for another two from Boeing earlier this month.
The aircraft will provide the backbone for Primera Air on traffic between Europe and North America, and the carrier will become the first airline to operate this new aircraft type.
Primera Air is part of Primera Travel Group with travel agencies and tour operating companies in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
