Dec 12, 2017 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ACMI and charter carrier GetJet Airlines will finish 2017 in high spirits after a successful year and confident of sustained growth in 2018.
-We have indeed performed very well in 2017 with a 20 percent increase in both flight hours and turn-over, and with full commitments for all our aircraft during this winter season as well, says Benas Laurinaitis, GetJet Airlines CEO.
-In the fleet are now four Boeing 737-400 aircraft and two Boeing 737-300 aircraft that were acquired recently. We expect the delivery of our first Airbus A320 aircraft even before the end of this year, and we expect the delivery of a second Airbus A320 also around the turn of the year, maybe in January 2018, bringing the fleet to a total of eight aircraft in place for the next summer season.
-What is equally important is that we are now close to obtaining our IOSA certificate which will open up even bigger markets for us. The latest audit revealed 17 findings which was quite satisfactory for our airline in my opinion. We have now reported our progress on these findings and expect to receive the IOSA certification early in 2018 as well.
-The market is brisk, there is a strong demand for aircraft capacity and we are thus rather confident of entering 2018 in good shape and with high ambitions for another good year, says Mr Laurinaitis.
