Dec 22, 2017 (newstodate): The Latvian charter and ACMI carrier SmartLynx has now taken delivery of its second Airbus A321 aircraft.
As planned, the aircraft has been delivered at Riga Airport right before Christmas 2017, bringing the carrier's fleet to comprise 11 Airbus A320 and now two Airbus A321 aircraft.
In 2018, SmartLynx plans to be operating a total of 18 aircraft.
Besides keeping a focus on providing charter capacity to a growing number of tour operators, SmartLynx offers ACMI capacity to an extensive list of airline customers.
Plans are also on the table for growing business beyond Europe through developing new operations in Canada and Mexico, as well as in Asia.
