Dec 08, 2017 (newstodate): The Icelandic-owned Primera Group has bolstered its existing order placed in May 2017 for the new Boeing 737 MAX 9 ER aircraft.
Adding to the initial order for eight aircraft, Primera is ordering two more, bringing the full order to 10 aircraft.
The carrier has thus exercised two of its four purchase options and still has lease options for another eight aircraft of this type.
Primera Air will become the world's first carrier to put the new aircraft type into commercial service as the first aircraft is delivered in 2019.
Primera Air is part of Primera Travel Group with travel agencies and tour operating companies in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
