Dec 07, 2017 (newstodate): Plans for start of direct air services between Lithuania and Kazakhstan have now been firmed up, with sales starting already from December 1.
First published by the Kazakh media reporting from 10th International Conference on Transport and Transit Potential, Trans Eurasia-2017, the start date for the coming new route between Astana and Vilnius has been set for May 27, 2018.
The Kazakh carrier SCAT will be operating the route with Boeing 737-500 aircraft on two weekly rotations.
SCAT Airlines will become the 18th airline operating scheduled flights from and to Vilnius airport, and Vilnius is the first EU destination served by SCAT Airlines that was on the list of air carriers banned in the EU until December 8, 2016.
