Dec 04, 2017 (newstodate): Name one airport that would not dream of having a Chinese carrier on the tarmac.
Denmark's Billund Airport is no exception, and according to a Danish regional news media the airport and the regional government are wooing Tianjin Airlines, member of the HNA Group, for considering launch of charter flights from Tianjin, Beijing's harbor city, to Billund from summer 2018.
newstodate has asked Tianjin Airlines for a comment but the prompt answer did not immediately confirm the said venture.
-Thanks for your concern for Tianjin Airlines, but we were sorry that we do not have any news on this route, the mail reads.
Tianjin Airlines operates a fleet of 95 aircraft including four Airbus A330-200 and one Airbus A321-200 on an extensive domestic route network as well as flights from 2016 to long-haul destinations Auckland in New Zealand, London Gatwick, and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport.
