Nov 22, 2017 (newstodate): The first of four Boeing 777 aircraft for Ukraine International Airlines is now being readied for delivery.
The four aircraft have been sourced from Asiana Airlines, and will be introduced with the carrier in 2018.
The new aircraft will gradually replace the existing fleet of four Boeing 767 aircraft from 2019 and allow UIA to launch new intercontinental routes to destinations including Toronto and Shanghai.
The first two Boeing 767-300ER aircraft were earlier serving with SAS and acquired on a lease contract with the Scandinavian investor Nordea Leasing in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
