Nov 21, 2017 (newstodate): Latvia's Riga Airport has been doing well in cargo growth through 2017 - especially since July.
The key driver in the airport's cargo traffic has been Turkish Cargo's freighter service starting from July 1, 2017, with two weekly Airbus A330-200F rotations from Istanbul.
In October 2017, the airport thus handled a total of 2,791 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 67.2 percent, y-o-y.
In the first 10 months of this year, the airport has generated a total of 19,858 tonnes of cargo which is 21.2 percent up on the preceding year.
