Nov 21, 2017 (newstodate): The Russian carrier UTAir has designated TEK Poseidon as its new cargo GSA.
TEK Poseidon, the Russian member of the 1GSA network, will provide GSA services at UTAir's destinations at Moscow Vnukovo Airport, Riga and Tashkent.
TEK Poseidon will particularly focus on marketing bi-directional capacity on the airline's six weekly flights from Moscow Vnukovo to Tashkent using Boeing 767 aircraft, and its daily Boeing 737 services to Riga.
To represent UTAir, TEK Poseidon has opened new offices in both Riga and Tashkent, supplementing its existing Moscow base.
TEK Poseidon also identifies strong potential for services from Moscow Vnukovo to Dushanbe in Tajikistan and Yerevan in Armenia, along with the proposed new route from Vnukovo to Milan Malpensa.
The extent of UTAir's network will also open up transit opportunities via its hub at Vnukovo, such as between Tashkent and Riga.
In Latvia, UTAir has been online with flights between Moscow and Riga since August 17, 2010, initially operated with CRJ 100 aircraft.
In the Baltic region, UTAir also launched flights from Moscow Vnukovo Airport to Tallinn in Estonia from August 1, 2011, offering daily flights on the route with CRJ200 aircraft, and adding flights to Lithuania's Vilnius Airport from April 1, 2014, with ATR 72-500 aircraft.
