Nov 02, 2017 (newstodate): Doha-based Qatar Airways is strengthening its Nordic flights program this winter.
The carrier is increasing the volume of weekly flights to all four Nordic capital airports from December 2017.
Denmark's Copenhagen Airport will thus see the carrier increasing from 14 to 16 weekly flights during the period December 27February 3, 2018, in Sweden Qatar Airways will increase from 14 to 17 rotations during December 28, 2017January 31, 2018, while the carrier will increase its services to Oslo in Norway from daily to 10 weekly rotations from December 22, 2017 onward.
Finland will also see more of Qatar Airways as the carrier plans to increase from one to two daily operations from December 14, 2017.
Services to Finland will also see the current Boeing 787 aircraft to be replaced by Airbus A330-300 from December 1,2017, and the second daily operation will be performed with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Qatar Airways first entered Scandinavia with a route between Doha and Stockholm, Sweden, launched on November 27, 2007, adding the route between Doha and Copenhagen, Denmark, from March 30, 2010, and launching flights from Doha to Oslo, Norway, from October 5, 2011.
To round off its Nordic services, Qatar Airways finally added flights from Doha to Helsinki, in Finland, from October 10, 2016.
