Nov 27, 2017 (newstodate): Norway is seeing the launch of a new helicopter carrier, Vici Helicopter.
To be based in Stavanger, the center of Norway's off-shore industries, Vici Helicopter AS will provide oil and gas companies with off-shore operations to carry crew and shipments between rigs and land facilities along the coast line of Norway.
The company is starting out with the acquisition of two ex-factory Leonardo AW189 helicopters, a novelty in the Norwegian market, featuring a 16-seats cabin.
In the core group behind the new venture is Dag Johan Saetre, Vici Helicopter Accountable Manager and founder, who has been engaged in helicopter businesses since three years in the Norwegian Air Force starting from 1984.
