Nov 23, 2017 (newstodate): Riga-based Icelandic-owned carrier Primera Air is to expand its flight schedule from Birmingham in 2018 with new short-haul routes.
Already announced is the opening of Transatlantic flights from Birmingham to New York, Boston and Toronto from early May 2018.
A new announcement reveal plans for adding also low-cost short-haul flights from Birmingham to Spanish leisure destinations Mallorca and Malaga to be operated daily, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Backed by deliveries of new Boeing Max9-ER and Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, Primera Air will increase its presence on the existing bases and open other trans-Atlantic routes, as well as open new bases.
