Nov 01, 2017 (newstodate): Without much ado, Ethiopian Airlines is planning to expand its capacity on the route between Ethiopia and Scandinavia.
The carrier is currently operating the route from Addis Abeba to Stockholm in Sweden, continuing to Oslo in Norway with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
Starting from December 1, 2017, the carrier will replace the Boeing 787-8 with the larger Boeing 787-9 to offer more seats on one of the five flights on the route that has experienced a sound performance from the start.
Ethiopian Airlines has been operating the route Addis Abeba-Stockholm since October 28, 2003, after moving its Scandinavian services to Sweden from Copenhagen Airport, Denmark.
The carrier next extended the route with a further leg between Stockholm and Oslo from March 27, 2017, adding more Norwegian passengers and - not least - cargo shipments of Norwegian seafood to the flight.
