According to Lufthansa Group, signs of recovery surfaced already in summer 2016, and summer 2017 has definitely proved that the Russian market's demand for air travel is increasing and heading for a full recovery.
The Lufthansa Group thus increased frequencies on flights to the Russian market by seven percent in summer 2017, while capacity was increased by 14 percent by the introduction of larger aircraft on the routes.
Consequently, the volume of passengers on the Lufthansa Group's flights to and from Russian destinations was up by 30 percent during summer 2017.
