Nov 13, 2017 (newstodate): The joint enterprise of Estonia Post's Omniva and the largest privately held Chinese courier company S.F. Express, Post 11 continues to grow its volumes.
But the company's growth is not necessarily limited to handling of e-trade shipments at Tallinn Airport where volumes of cargo and mail has dropped by 16.2 percent, y-o-y, during the first nine months of this year.
-Our strategy is to get closer to the consumer markets, meaning that we fly e-trade shipments into not just Tallinn, but to various markets around Europe. From Tallinn, we mainly provide onward distribution to the Baltic region as well as the nearby E European markets, says Gunnar Aru, Post11 CEO.
-While there are no immediate plans for establishing Tallinn Airport as a hub for the e-trade shipments, we are indeed strengthening our presence here as well, aiming to providing more value-added services to our customers including Alibaba, such as pick&pack, postal transfers and cooperation with integrators supported by our new facility at Tallinn Airport.
-The total volumes handled by Post11 are indeed growing fast and we expect another boom in the coming pre-Christmas peak, says Mr Aru.
