Nov 06, 2017 (newstodate): The Taiwanese carrier China Airlines, based at Taipei, has inked a contract with the Danish Airbus Group subsidiary Satair for comprehensive material support.
Under the multi-year contract, SATAIR will provide a fully-integrated end-to-end supply chain package covering expendable material for the airline's Airbus fleet of 24 Airbus A330-300 and the future total of 14 A350-900 aircraft, eight of which have already been put into service.
Starting from December 2017, the SATAIR services will include planning, sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and inventory management covering some 18,000 part numbers.
The coverage includes all expendables materials needs of China Airlines and is extendable to affiliates as well.
