Nov 28, 2017 (newstodate): Armenia and EU has completed negotiations over a new air services agreement.
The new agreement was signed on November 24, 2017, and will improve market access for airlines, provide better connectivity, more choice and lower fares for travelers, and expectations are that the new liberal access to the market will generate some 87,000 additional passengers on flights between Armenia and the EU markets.
Besides market access, the new air services agreement will establish a common regulatory framework in the fields of aviation safety and security.
In 2010, Armenia and EU signed a horizontal aviation agreement allowing all European airlines to fly between Armenia and any EU Member State.
