Nov 21, 2017 (newstodate): Not surprisingly, the latest available statistics on air cargo between India and the Nordic markets covering July-September show Finland at the #1 position.
For obvious reasons: Finnair started operations to Delhi, India, from November 1, 2006, adding flights to Mumbai on June 26, 2007, and now offering up to three weekly rotations on the route Helsinki-Delhi.
By contract, Air India only launched flights from Delhi to Stockholm from August 16, 2017, and to Copenhagen starting from September 15, 2017, in both cases offering three weekly rotations.
The volume of air cargo between India and Finland during the period July-September 2017 thus reached a total of 930 tonnes including 34 tonnes to India and 589 from India.
The volume of air cargo in Q3 between India and Sweden reached 100 tonnes, including 61 tonnes to India and 39 tonnes from India.
Finally the air cargo between India and Denmark was 58 tonnes including eight tonnes to India and 50 tonnes from India.
