Nov 29, 2017 (newstodate): Georgia will soon see the launch of a new carrier My Way Airlines with high ambitions and a firm capital basis provided by Chinese investors.
It is actually the second attempt to start the venture as the first AOC application process was suspended in October 2016 at the carrier's own request.
Now a fresh application has been filed and expectations are that the process will be completed within three months.
To be named My Way Airlines, the new carrier will initially have a fleet comprising two Boeing 737 and one Boeing 777 aircraft, aiming at establishing a route network comprising destinations in Europe and Asia as well as in the USA.
My Way Airlines is already established in China and has now also been registered in Georgia, and plans are to hire Georgian staff with the base at Tbilisi.
Behind My Way Airlines is the Chinese private corporation Hualing Group, founded in 1988 in China, Urumqi.
