Oct 31, 2017 (newstodate): The privately-owned Iraqi carrier Fly Baghdad is back in international traffic.
On October 28, 2017, the carrier performed its flight on the route between Baghdad and Istanbul, now offering three weekly rotations with Boeing 737-700 between Baghdad International Airport and Turkey's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.
After two months of operations, the route will be turned into a daily service, and Fly Baghdad expects to start flights to other international destinations including Amman, Beirut, Dubai, and Cairo.
The carrier also harbors aspirations for the future launch of flights to European destinations.
