Oct 31, 2017 (newstodate): Still not officially announced, words are out that Emirates is to add one more Airbus A380 destination in 2018: Warsaw Chopin Airport.
If words turn true, Emirates will start daily A380 operations between Dubai and Warsaw from May 2018, replacing the current Boeing 777-300ER now used on the route.
Emirates first launched services from Dubai to Warsaw on February 6, 2013, with Airbus A330-200 aircraft that were later replaced from June 1, 2014, with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft capacity.
Warsaw Chopin first saw the Airbus A380 on the runway in 2011 as Lufthansa operated a one-off promotional flights, and on February 10, 2017, Emirates performed a similar one-off PR-stunt.
