Oct 13, 2017 (newstodate): Ending its fiscal year on June 30, 2017, the Danish regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital can lean back on a sound pile of earnings, revenues, an enviable 22 percent return on equity and an ever-growing fleet of aircraft.
At the end of the fiscal year, NAC thus owned 356 aircraft, managed 39 and had purchase commitments for 55 aircraft totaling 450 aircraft.
-We successfully integrated the acquisitions made late last year, establishing our presence in the Regional Jet market, and expanded our customer base to 69 customers in 46 countries, says NAC CEO Soren M. Overgaard in a comment to the report.
NAC's current fleet of over 400 owned and managed aircraft includes ATR 42, ATR 72, Bombardier Dash 8, CRJ900, CRJ1000, CS300, E170, E175, E190 and E195.
In addition, the group has some 50 aircraft on firm order.
NAC is the world's largest owner and lessor of both ATR and Bombardier aircraft.
Among NAC's customers are Aerom�xico, Air Canada, British Airways, LOT, Azul, Garuda, Flybe, HOP!, air Baltic and Olympic Air as well as major regional carriers including Air Nostrum, Wider�e, Etihad Regional, Binter and Air KBZ.
