Oct 24, 2017 (newstodate): The Danish regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital is again adding more aircraft to its already large fleet of turboprop aircraft.
NAC is thus acquiring ten ATR72-600 aircraft from the Brazilian carrier Azul, with the first five aircraft to be taken over already before the end of this year, and the remaining five to follow by early 2018.
By the end of the fiscal year on June 30, 2017, NAC already owned 356 aircraft, managed 39 and had purchase commitments for 55 aircraft totaling 450 aircraft.
NAC's current fleet of over 400 owned and managed aircraft includes ATR 42, ATR 72, Bombardier Dash 8, CRJ900, CRJ1000, CS300, E170, E175, E190 and E195, and in addition the group has some 50 aircraft on firm order, and NAC is the world's largest owner and lessor of both ATR and Bombardier aircraft.
