Oct 30, 2017 (newstodate): EU has now lifted the ban on Iran Air's use of Airbus A320 aircraft into EU airspace.
Since last year, the carrier has been negotiating with the EU Commission in an effort to have all limitations on its Airbus A320 fleet lifted, which will enable the carrier to expand its European services.

Iran Air currently operates a fleet of six new Airbus A320-200 and one Airbus A321-200, while orders have ben placed for delivery of six more Airbus A320-200, 32 A320neo and seven Airbus A321-200 aircraft.
Today, Iran Air operates flights to 14 destinations in Europe, including Amsterdam, Athens, Cologne, Budapest, Frankfurt, Geneva, Gothenburg, Hamburg, London, Milan, Paris, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna.
The carrier has also announced plans for launching flights from Tehran to Copenhagen from November 4, 2017.
